SUMMARY PAPER
Public understanding of pain is full of misconceptions about “how pain works” and these misconceptions act as barrier to good pain management. The Flippin’ Pain campaign is a UK based public health campaign which seeks to change public understanding of pain away from the outdated structural-pathology based understanding to one which is grounded in the biopsychosocial model. This presentation will describe the key elements of the campaign and provide preliminary evaluation data.
